Medstar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) has been saving the lives of infants and mothers for decades. Our combined labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal ICU units make up the perinatal services department that provides top notch care to the most high risk mothers and their babies. The level IV NICU provides services from bedside surgery to ECMO. Through meticulous teamwork, thousands of lives have been saved by the nurses, doctors, and ancillary staff of these three units.
MGUH puts together a team every year to participate in the March for Babies. This organization is at the forefront of groundbreaking research that improves our practice as neonatal healthcare providers. They also use funds to support parents and families of premature babies. Lastly, they participate in legislative advocacy to gain governmental support through funding and initiatives for preemies.
Please join us in our effort to raise funds to help improve prenatal and neonatal care across the country. This will help us prevent more babies from being born prematurely and advance the care of the neonates that are. Our tiniest patients need the largest support since they are not able to speak for themselves. Let’s team up to write more happy stories about the smallest infants growing up and going home to cuddle with their loving families.
