Our team, Black Nurses Association is part of the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.

With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, we’re committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. And you can help us.

"We walk because the majority of deaths still occur with AA babies and their mothers. The state of AZ has "D" on the death rate report card compared to other states- one of the highest deaths for us in the nation. Arizona's infant mortality rate rose by ?11% last year?- so it's higher than the national norm.? According to the American Health Rankings, Arizona’s overall maternal mortality rate is 30.4 deaths per 100,000 live births. For non-Hispanic Black women, the rate is 63.4 deaths per 100,000 live births, which is more than double the U."
