Jesse Ross was born on February 16th, 2021 at 26 weeks 2 days, weighing 1 lb. 5 oz. and 12" long. After 291 days in the hospital, Jesse is now at home where he belongs - at a remarkable 25 lbs and 35" long. Jesse has Chronic Lung Disease and is on a ventilator and has a trach and g-tube. He is a true fighter - the bravest, strongest, smiliest little boy, who continues to amaze us all every day. He is thriving at home, and while he fortunately won't remember any of this, the 10-month NICU journey is something we will never forget.
My sister also had two preterm labors. She lost a son at 25 weeks, and then had another son at 30 weeks, all in 2016. For 5 years our family has donated to this amazing cause, and now with Jesse in the mix, March for Babies hits closer to home than ever.
