The Renee Schine Crown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care for an estimated 1,600 premature or seriously ill newborns each year. NICU Parents and families are crucial to an infant's recovery and development, so we encourage and facilitate the strong presence and involvement of parents and family in the care we provide.
To help families who have children in the NICU, we have a March of Dimes NICU Family Support Program. This program was the first of its kind in the state of Illinois- providing a full time March of Dimes NICU Family Support program to families. Built on a philosophy of family-centered care, the program supports families throughout the hospitalization, during the transition to home and in the event of a newborn death.
We are excited to fundraise and walk to support the mission of the March of DImes. If you are a Prentice NICU staff member or Prentice NICU family, please join us!
If you can't walk with us, please help by donating to our team. You can do so right on this page. Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
