We walk the March of Babies walk because all of you know we had a preemie 36wk 5days. Even though she was almost full term her lungs were not fully developed. She round up having RDS that turned into PPHN. So need less to say she spent five wks in the NICU@CHOP. She has had a full recovery and she is a happy, wonderful, full of smiles SEVEN YEAR OLD. We owe a big thank to the March of Dimes and the wonderful Medical staff at CHOP because without either she would not be here today! So thus I would like to raise awareness No matter how far along in your pregnancy weather it would be 24wks or full term your little one is still a preemie/full term baby and can have issues. Spending time in the NICU has taught me that not all babies are born healthy and need help to Survive. We also have another special reason to walk this year. We had a baby boy in February 2014 and he was born full term. Just like hisSister he also had RDS at birth. He was such a trooper like my daughter but it just shows you that even full term babies can also have trouble early on and need the TLC of the NICU and with the support march of dimes we made it through twice! So please support and pass the word! He is now a Healthly and Happy THREE Year OLD! Please support my walk. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on this page. Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start! WE are also walking for other premiees born into our family over the years, and also friends that have have had premiees too. They are all special and hold a specail place in our hearts. Every year doing this walk we take a moment to reconcines those who born to soon and Each one off these special ppl pop into my head! I will have to say we have a fortunate team where were haven't lost a premiee! I how ever there are teams out here who walk for those who have! I also walk side by side with them and supporting them. To let them know they are not a lone on this jouney. So please help us reach our goal and beyound! This year I want us to soar in helping a great cause!
Thanks,
Team Naavah and Andrew RDS Survivors
