I feel incredibly blessed to have the chance to participate in the New York City Marathon with the March of Dimes team.
This organization is extremely important to me, as I was born prematurely at 27 weeks on August 29, 2000, weighing only 2 pounds and 2 ounces. I spent over 100 days in an incubator in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where my family visited every day to check on me. Throughout this time, I received many life-saving procedures and tests, all made possible by the incredible medical advancements in the United States.
Just 50 years ago, babies born at 27 weeks, like me, had only a 10% chance of survival. Today, thanks to the dedicated work of Premature Research Centers and organizations like the March of Dimes who help fund them, that chance has risen to 70%.
By donating today, you will help babies like me receive the great care they deserve. Any amount helps and encourages me tremendously as I overcome this physical and mental challenge. Thank you so much!
"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased," Hebrews 13:16 💜
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
