In November, I will be running the NYC Marathon, representing the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes holds a special place in my heart and running the NYC Marathon has ALWAYS been a dream of me. Being able to collide the 2 worlds is my DREAM COME TRUE!
My daughter Brooke Elizabeth Elmore was born at 29 weeks weighing only two pounds and six ounces. She spent 60 long days, critically ill in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The March of Dimes donated the incubator that was used to keep Brooke alive and we truly believe that our lives would be very different if it were not for the March of Dimes and the dedicated nurses and doctors who cared for her. Brooke is now a healthy, happy and silly 18-year-old girl! She will be off to college next year and we could not be more proud. We are very aware of how lucky we are to still have her.
Please help me get to NYC to represent my sweet preemie baby Brooke. Any amount, even a dime is very helpful and very much appreciated.
This isn't just me running, this isn't just you helping me run, THIS IS FULL CIRCLE LIFE EVENT FOR ME AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO THIS.
Thank you all. Please share.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
