Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Our country is facing an urgent maternal and infant health crisis. The U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color. By joining our March of Dimes community, you can help fund the research, programs, support and advocacy needed to turn this crisis around and improve mom and baby health. Together we need to UNITE, CONNECT, HONOR and CARE for families now.

March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ is your chance to step up to make a real difference in your community now and for generations to come.

KIDS SUPERHERO SPRINT!

Calling all Superheroes to join us in the March for Babies: A Mother of a MovementTM Superhero Sprint, sponsored by Publix!  The first run is right before the walk!  Kids should be ready to line up at 9:25 a.m. Join us! If your little one misses it, they can run after the walk, too. Each child will receive a superhero cape, while supplies last.

ABOUT THE LOCAL EVENT

2024 March for Babies Ambassador

 

 

Ryan Lewis

Ryan Lewis, Jr. spent 187 long days in the NICU fighting to survive. His mom, Ashley, says "From the first time I laid eyes on Ryan the day he was born in December 2020 I was so afraid. Finding out his dad had to choose between saving my life or his was the hardest part of all. He was given 72 hours to live, and as I look back over it all he was the test to our testimony. I was in such a dark place. Once I found the strength, I began to educate myself on how to take care of a micro preemie, what hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy were, all of the things I was told he would experience in his life. We are so grateful for our little miracle baby. He has been a fighter all his life and knowing that lets me know that as he grows older, he will defeat all odds that he will ever face."
