About March for Babies
Join this year’s March for Babies Chair, Surani Kwan, Executive Director of Operations - North Division for Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation at our Santa Rosa walk. This fund raiser incorporates hundreds of volunteers who participate in a 4 mile loop around picturesque Spring Lake. Each walker raises money from friends, family and co-workers, then enjoys the post walk festivities at family-friendly Howarth Park. Money raised through March for Babies enables the March of Dimes to continue its ongoing investment in life-saving research and programs so that every parent will know the joy of a healthy newborn. Seventy-eight percent of every dollar raised goes directly to support the mission of the March of Dimes.
Parking is provided at no charge. When you enter the park, please follow the signs to the upper parking lot. If the lot is full, please proceed to overflow parking in the lower lot by the Tennis courts and Baseball field.
It promises to be a fun day out with people who share our passion for improving the health of babies. There'll be family teams, company teams and people walking with friends - it's a great feeling knowing we're all helping real families. Join our event and walk with us to raise money for babies right here in our community!

Our ambassador
Meet Elijah
Meet Elijah
Born early at 25 weeks and 1 day in 2002, weighing just over 1 pound and measuring 11 inches long, Elijah Jackson spent 7 months in a newborn intensive care unit (NICU). He pulled through after surgery to close a duct between his heart and lungs, a tracheotomy and a procedure to correct reflux disease. He also received surfactant therapy, developed in part with funding from the March of Dimes, to strengthen his tiny lungs. When he left the hospital, he needed a ventilator and oxygen for 2 more years. Today, Elijah is a happy, healthy 12-year-old boy who enjoys school and is an avid sports fan. He is serving as the 2015 National Ambassador with his parents, Elise and Todd Jackson.
