I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
As many of you know we were the direct beneficiaries of the amazing NICU care at BIDMC. Our daughter, Harper Cole, was born 9 weeks premature weighing only 2lbs 9oz (see her picture above.) She was delivered early because I was suffering from HELLP syndrome and it was the only option to save both me and her. We were so fortunate that despite being so small, she was overall very healthy. Other than a few minor set backs she did remarkably well in the NICU. She stayed there for 40 days, which was much less than the anticipated 60 days. This was a result of not only Harper's strength, but her amazing support- family, friends, and her care team at the BIDMC NICU. Anyone who has gone through an experience like this will tell you that NICU teams are angels. Harper is now a precocious, strong, delightful almost 5 year old. She loves gymnastics, rock climbing and attending Pre-K at Dedham Country Day.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
