As a NICU nurse I bear witness to the struggles faced by families whose babies must remain in the hospital after delivery, and the babies themselves every time I go to work. I am continually in awe of these family's ability to face their worst nightmare day after day for sometimes months on end and do it with a smile. Quickly moving onward from setbacks, eager to celebrate the next milestone. We all try our hardest to celebrate daily, smile, laugh, focus on the good things. But no matter how many smiles, jokes, or 'good days' they have these families are still living the nightmare of going home without their baby whether it be for one night, or for all the nights to come.
I’m walking in the March for Babies in honor of all of the amazing families and babies I have cared for, and for the hope of a brighter future for maternal and infant health in this country. Please make a secure donation to help me reach my goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
