Once again, I joined the Auditor-Controller's Team in support the March of Dimes (MOD), March for Babies movement. With all our support, MOD creates a positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk. For me, this walk also serves as a reminder of how important health care is for both expecting mothers and babies.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates still at a rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start just like my family did when my son was born prematurely, weighing under two pounds, via an emergency C-Section. Yes, you read correctly, my sweet boy was very underweight and against all odds and by the grace of God and the nurturing care of the medical team, my son is now a healthy young man.
With your help, we can continue to be part of this great movement for equitable healthcare and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
