I am part of this movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, particularly for those most at risk. I march not only to understand reproductive justice as a legal matter but also to grasp its implications on health systems and outcomes. My march is a stand to support the community's expressed needs and to confront the challenges—both known and unknown—that intensify the maternal health crisis. I advocate for the principles and missions that drive us, for recruitment and trust-building within our community spaces, to enhance access to maternal health care. With the rising rates of preterm births and maternal deaths, I am dedicated to fundraising to ensure every family has the best possible start. Yet, this is a collective mission! It demands curiosity from activists willing to examine every detail, question every fact, research every inquiry, critique every law, care for every birthing parent, and collectively strive to uplift one another in this endeavor.
