Why I march

I walk in honor of all of the premature babies and babies with life threatening defects and illnesses. As a NICU nurse, I have had the opportunity to watch these little fighters, first hand, overcome obstacles and beat the odds. I have celebrated with families getting to take their sweet babies home, and I have mourned with parents having to say goodbye.

I walk in hopes that medicine will continue to advance and lives will be saved, and that families will recieve the best care resulting in healthier mamas and babies.

There are many reasons I walk, but the one most precious to my heart is in honor of my sweet daughter, Lilly Grace Peacock. Lilly was born at 32 weeks and weighed 2lbs. 11 ounces. She was diagnosed with Trisomy 13, a rare chromosomal defect that is fatal. I walk in memory of Lilly, our beautiful baby girl who forever changed our lives, and taught us just how deeply we could love and how deeply we are loved by God.

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
