In April, me and March of Dimes are celebrating 55! For me, it's a big birthday and for March of Dimes it's the 55th anniversary of our largest fundraiser that allows the critical work we do on behalf of families, pregnant women and newborns to be possible! I am beyond proud to lead our NICU team across the country! Every day, our team of NICU Family Support Program Coordinators walk into 70 NICUs around the country with one goal - to step in and help a family during what is often described as a family's worst and most frightening time. Through education, support, meals and more, March of Dimes NICU Family Support program coordinators serve more than 50,000 families every year. We are expanding our resources for families to include mental health screening and connection to mental health services for NICU families and support groups just for Dads and groups for parents once they go home from the NICU and continue to need help and care. Our NICU families are warriors for their children, the NICU staff are brilliant and caring and the March of Dimes is right there every step of the way!
