We are walking in support of our daughter, Annalise, who was born premature at 26 weeks. The support and care that the NICU team gave our daughter and family was a great gift for a very scary time. Our daughter is now doing wonderful and continues to show us all the milestones she is achieving everyday. In December 2019, she was officially discharged from Early Childhood Intervention services! We always look forward to seeing how much she continues to make new milestones and memories with our family. Annalise is now EIGHT years old and in 2nd grade and enjoys reading, math, singing bible songs and dancing! We still have one more milestone doctor visit in July and we will officially be discharged of all of her premature birth medical care, as long as the doctor gives us the green light. As a family, we don't have enough "thank you's" for the amazing NICU staff at Memorial Hermann Memorial City!
Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. We are walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help us reach our goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
