Why I walk

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a very special place. This is the place where miracles happen, but it is also the place where hearts break. It is where the smallest patients in the hospital stay, but also where the strongest patients fight. There is growth and excitement; there are tears and setbacks. There are lot of peaks, a lot of troughs. But all in all, this is the place where love grows.

Love oozes from this place. Love pours out when a parent sees their newborn for the first time (& every time), when a parent holds their baby for the first time (& every time), when a baby breastfeeds for the first time (& every time), when parents leave the NICU with their baby for the first time (& only time). When a baby takes their first breath, there is love; when a baby takes their last, there is love. Love emanates from the parents, the nurses, the nurse practitioners, the doctors, the respiratory therapists, the dieticians, the pharmacists, the physical/occupational/speech therapists, and more.

That love is why I am walking in March for Babies. If you are able, please support my walk, my babies, and my immeasurable love for them. Thank you!

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
