I walk for Cristian, Cole and Carter! My first born child, Cristian, was born 17 years ago at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital at 27 weeks weighing 2 pounds 8 ounces. He was immediately rushed to Texas Childrens Hospital, which remained his home for about 3 months. While he had countless tests done, I was lucky enough to have my baby boy come home with no medical problems at all! He is now a very smart and active young man who is in his Junior year in High School!
My second born son, Cole who is now 11 year old, was born on time, but had to spend several days in the NICU here at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital due to being jaundice and the nurses and physicians took excellent care of him!
Last, but not least, my third son, Carter, decided to make his appearance into this world at 34 weeks. He was also born here at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. He came by emergency C Section and had to stay in the NICU for about 1-2 weeks and was on c-pap and had countless tests done as well. Something amazing as well was that one of the nurses who took care of my oldest son, Cristian, also took care of my youngest son, Carter! Her name is Imelda Talictic and she is amazing!
I participate to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby. With nearly 4 million babies born each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them all. The funds I raise enable March of Dimes to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy that truly makes a difference to families in our community and across the country. If you believe, like I do, that every baby deserves the best possible start, please march with me or make a donation to support this community effort. Together we can fight for the health of all moms and babies.
Thanks to March of Dimes and all of the amazing doctors and nurses, every single one of my children had the best care possible and are all healthy children!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
