Each year our family participates in the March for Babies fundraiser to raise money for the March of Dimes so that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of other families. Our youngest daughter, Briella would not be here today if it weren't for the March of Dimes funding the research & development of artificial surfactant. We are forever grateful for the March of Dimes role in bringing our daughter home to complete our family. She spent 4 months in the NICU fighting to live and to come home and meet her sister. 

Our family was honored to be able to share our story as the Kansas City March of Dimes Ambassador family of 2014. We hit a team record of $6300 raised in that one year! We have raised over $12,000 in 5 years. This is our 7th year participating in March for Babies. 

We are walking in honor of our daughter Briella, who was born at just 23 weeks. I have set a personal goal of $1200 in honor of the 120 days Briella spent in the NICU before she came home to complete our family. 

Last year alone, March of Dimes helped reduce the number of premature births in Missouri by 500. I would like to help reduce even more!! I do not want another family to have to watch their baby develop in an incubator, not knowing what the next hour holds.
