Hi friends!
This year, I have joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
Did you know the U.S. remains among the most dangerous of developed countries for childbirth; and communities of color are disproportionately impacted. Women of color are up to 50% more likely to give birth preterm and their children face a 130% higher infant death rate.
I am looking to help change those numbers by fundraising for March of Dimes. Through their efforts, not only do they fund research for lifesaving cures and vaccines, they help families with prenatal and postpartum care, NICU support and they educate medical professionals to mitigate bias, stigma and systemic racism.
I would really appreciate your support, in any amount, and together we can be a part of a movement that will make our country a more equitable place, ensuring that every mom and baby is healthy.
In closing, I would like to share Charles Johnson's story that I found very heart-touching. These are the types of stories I hope we no longer have to hear one day.
Many thanks!
Amber
