Important Update

Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Crocetto Family

Family Photo

The Crocetto Family journey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), began immediately following Nova and Nadia's birth. Like so many families, Megan and Nicholas were left with questions, concerns, and worry about the unknown of the NICU. They understood their twin daughters would need to grow and develop, but what they didn’t know was the length of their NICU stay and the emotional toll it would take on them as parents. Nova and Nadia faced multiple challenges during their NICU journey which included bleeding in the brain, infections, and a handful of transfusions. Novia and Nadia were born at 26 weeks and 2 days. Nadia spent a total of 114 days in the NICU and her twin, Nova spent 115 days in the NICU before returning home to big brother, Nicholas! Today, Nova and Nadia energetic and thriving 7 month old beautiful babies! Nova and Nadia remain 1 in 10 babies in the U.S. that are born too soon. Preterm birth is the leading cause of newborn death, and babies who survive an early birth may face longterm health challenges. Megan and Nicholas know the significant role March for Babies plays in raising awareness and funds to find solutions to end preventable preterm births and death. The Crocetto Family hopes the community they found by participating in March for Babies, can provide comfort and promise to other families going through a similar journey.
