In 2023, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated celebrated 52 years of partnership with the March of Dimes. As one of our national initiatives, this partnership not only includes fundraising for MOD but it also gives Zeta the opportunity to share what we learn about prematurity awareness, healthy births and healthy moms throughout the commuties served by Zeta's many chapters across the globe.
Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. The preterm birth rate among black women is 44% higher than the rate among all other women in the state. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Epsilon Zeta chapter in Kansas City, KS is ready to answer the call again this upcoming year to raise that grade. In our service area of Wyandotte,Johnson,Linn and Leavenworth Counties, the grade received was a C. We want to see this grade much higher. This year we have raised our team goal to $1024.00 in celebration of our 104 year as a service organization!! Help us as we support the research and educational efforts of the March of Dimes. Whether it is by joining our team and virtual walking with us on June 3rd or a simple donation, your assistance will be appreciated by families affected by premature births.
Thank you in advance for helping us give all babies a healthy start!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
