Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. Adelyn's Hope is walking in memory of Adelyn Jane McGee, the daughter of Trent and Lauren (Boswell) McGee, who is one of those babies. Adelyn was born almost 4 months prematurely on October 24, 2014 and lived only thirty hours. Our hearts were broken when she entered and left this world entirely too soon. We have joined the March of Dimes in the fight against prematurity in honor and in memory of our sweet Adelyn Jane. Our team name was chosen because we desire to give hope to those families and babies that have gone before us, for those that will come behind us, and for those that are currently fighting the good fight in NICUs across the world. The team name is also in honor of Adelyn's "big sister", Hope - a rescue boxer that was Lauren's first "child"! Our team exists because our lives were forever changed by Adelyn's short but sweet life - a life that we want to have meaning and purpose for the greater good. That's why we're asking you to join us. It's easy ... Just click the "Join this Team" button. If you can't walk with us, please help by donating to our team. You can do so right on this page. Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start and thanks for honoring Adelyn Jane McGee in such a wonderfully kind way.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
