Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives.
Our 1st baby, Brian Kevin Miller, Jr was born at 24 weeks weighing in at 1 pound, 7 ounces. He lived for 2 glorious weeks in the NICU before we lost him. If it were not for Northside Hospital and the March of Dimes we would not have had that 2 weeks with Baby Brian.
Our 2nd baby, Joseph Brian Miller, was born at 37 weeks weighing in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces. He spent 1 week in the NICU due to Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Joey is now happy and healthy! He is an ACTIVE 7 year old!
We were honored to be the 2011 Ambassador Family for the North Fulton chapter of March of Dimes! Please support us in 2012 by either walking with us or donating your spare "dimes" (or more!) We are walking with Northside Hospital's Parents Partnered for Preemies Team. Northside MATCHES all of our donations received!!! Hopefully, with our help, we can give future babies like Baby Brian a better chance at life!
Thank you so much for your support,
Betty, Brian n Joey
