This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

We're getting ready to walk in March for Babies! It promises to be a fun day out with people who share our passion for improving the health of babies. There'll be family teams, company teams and people walking with friends - it's a great feeling knowing we're all helping real families. Christopher Walker

Christopher Walker was born on 5/18/10 at 29 weeks. He was 3.2 lbs and stayed on the Johnston Willis NICU for 8 long weeks. I had a great an easy pregnancy until I woke up having contractions at 29 weeks. I was admitted in the hospital and was told I would stay there until I had the baby (probably 2-3 more weeks). I received several shots and Magnesium to stop the labor as well as steroids for the baby. Nothing worked and I had him about 12 hours after being admitted. He was able to receive surfactant (life saving in my opinion) which I know wasn't available 10-15 years ago and that MOD was instrumental in developing. I am truly thankful for all the reasearch and funding done through March of Dimes, without them, we may not have our precious Christopher with us today.
