Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

About March for Babies

March for Babies Greater Washington DC Presented by Gerber will be held Saturday, May 3rd at Nationals Park—1500 S. Capitol Street SE, Washington DC, 20002

Parking is free in the GEICO garage and Lot C. Nationals Park has a no bag policy with the exception of diaper/family bags. Please review the policy here

Registration starts at 8:00 AM and the walk begins at 9:30 AM. The opening ceremony will take place at 9:15 AM featuring our Show Of Hands Ceremony that you don’t want to miss! 

Dress is casual and the walk is rain or shine!

Day of festivities include: Rock painting, stroller decorating, music and fun for the whole family! Visit our four neighborhoods: CARE, CONNECT, UNITE and HONOR! Make sure to pick up your affinity bracelet in one of those areas to share why you are walking with us. The route is a leisure 3 mile walk around Navy Yard and finishes by walking on the field and crossing Homeplate! Don't forget to take a picture of yourself on the jumbotron! Dogs are welcome but not allowed on the baseball field (there is an alternate walk route to finish).

Any walker who raises $1,000 or more is a Circle of Champion and invited to the VIP area to enjoy a hot breakfast that morning!

The Dubas Family

Leo was born at 29 weeks in February 2024 and spent more than 130 days in the NICU at Inova Fairfax, where he received exceptional care from a dedicated medical team. During this challenging and uncertain time, the March of Dimes provided his family with strength, compassion, and a sense of community. Research funded by the March of Dimes has played a crucial role in ensuring that Leo has a bright and healthy future ahead of him.
