This event is giving families, corporate teams, health professionals and committed community members an opportunity to raise money and awareness to prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality. This is the 10th year that Stony Brook has partnered with the March of Dimes as a lead participant for this iconic event in which more than 900 communities across the United States participate annually. Last year, more than 1,500 people came out and raised more than $200,000! This year's event promises to be another day of family fun, emotional connection, community action with the Stony Brook team leading the way. Stony Brook Children’s is the only hospital on Long Island with a March of Dimes NICU Family Support program to educate, empower and guide families through the NICU journey.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
