Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

2017 Sacramento Ambassador Jack McDermott
2017 Sacramento Ambassador Jack McDermott
Jack McDermott was born 16 weeks early on Nov. 9, 2012. He weighed 1 lb. 8 ounces and could fit in the palm of your hand. Jack spent five months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). He fought through numerous surgeries and countless blood transfusions. His parents Shelly and Andrew sat by Jack’s side every day for those five months to do whatever they could to help him finish growing and make it through his first journey. Jack came home a month after his due date and continues treatments for vision and intestinal complications. You would never guess Jack was born premature, due to the care of the doctors and nurses in the NICU and because of the advancements and treatments developed with March of Dimes funded research. His friends and family now know him as Super Jack. He looks forward to seeing you at this year's March for Babies in Sacramento.
